Gun Carriage Tackle

I was up in the air whether to install the Gun Carriage Tackle or not. I installed one on the Port side Midship Gun Carriage.

It was a bit of a hassle for something that will be barely visible. I suppose I’ll keep doing them to balance it out.

Like a lot of stuff, it’s more suggestive than 100% accurate and to scale.

Here’s the tackle I put in.
This is what it’s supposed to look like.

I have to drill the holes in from the outside.

Eyebolt Holes

I kind of like the ends of these Eyebolts sticking out. Almost simulates a Bolt with Cotter Pin.

Long Wires

I just discovered that by using long pieces of wire for the side bolts I’m able to control it to feed it through the hole and makes it a lot easier!

You know… I know a lot of guys go into more detail with the Gun Tackle… Actually going to the trouble of making the block and tackle for it. But this is as good as it’s going to get. Hmmm???… 🤔😲😳
