I cannot believe that Artesania Latina only provided these pieces for the Windlass.
The middle piece has a Figurehead carved on top of it… So I guess AL assumes that I’m good at carving??? ..

I put a little piece of Manzonia Dowel in the center to simulate the Rachet gear.
I simulated the hole in the middle with some black ink.
I have some Martha Steward Craft Paint. The color is Tartan Red. Looks like I’ll need a few coats.
As I was working on the Rigging for the Bowsprit, I realized that I needed to put the Figurehead on before the area gets too crowded with Line.
Anyway, I used some Aleene’s Rapid Dry. I love the Instant Grip of this glue and the tight hold it has.
This figurehead came in the kit broken. Her arm was off the body. Not sure if it was supposed to be this way or not.
I think I may go with my Contact Cement / Superglue combo.
So I used contact cement to get the arm to stick on there then I’m going to dribble a little bit of super glue around it.
