There was a Space between the end of the Planks and the Taffrail so I put this piece of 1.5mm x 3mm Basswood on it after steaming and bending first.

Also, I stained it first using Colonial Maple Stain…

I had to use different lengths because the Forecastle is so short. I used 30mm and 60mm instead of the 40mm and 80mm of the Main Deck and Quarter Deck / Poop Deck.

I had to add some lumber to the Transom to bring the entire thing out in a Curve.

I had to include this Filler Blocks because the Fillers for the aft section didn’t go out far enough.

I’m not sure if I’m going about this the hard way…
I suppose I could have simply shaved the Poop Deck down a bit… 🙄🤔🫢
I am just thinking ahead… I’m sure the Planking will hide a lot of flaws. These ships were constantly being modified anyway, especially this one. It was supposed to have a beefed up hull to better withstand any ice that they encountered. 😲

Currently I’m using a Scribe to puncture miniature Holes in the Wood. I’m hoping to scrape the wood from the other side!

The length of each Plank is 80mm and 40mm for fills

I have to allow the glue to harden up along the edges so I can trim them.

Starting on the Starboard side. .. This is where I am after 2 Days of work. 🙄🤔
Just looking at the Planks that Artesania Latina gave me and I’m skeptical if I’m going to have enough??? ..

I’ve been wondering if I should include Trenails for the planks… I doubt I’ll go to that detail though.

I added the .6mm x 5mm Manzonia Planks to the edges of the Quarter Deck and Forecastle Decks.

These are the .6×5 Mukali Planks

This is a piece of 3mm x 3mm Manzonia.

I Super Glued these Blocks as Anchors for my Clamps… 👍 Otherwise there wasn’t anywhere else to Clamp on to… 🤔🙄

I had to sand this piece down to be able to fit between a couple more fillers.

I’m putting together 2 and 1a . The Rudder goes through the Hole.

Here’s the Filler Blocks provided #13 Front #14 Stern

I had to add these Paint Stirrers as wedges because the Filler Blocks didn’t go all the way to the end.

I have been using this Wood Glue instead of the regular yellow colored Titebond II .
In my opinion, it works just as well and doesn’t leave a yellow look when dry.
