Using some Pliers, I removed the Guides which came up as the Frames.

Transom
I glued it on with the Titebond and I had to hold while adjusting. I couldn’t use Superglue because it grabs too fast. The Titebond grabbed in around 10 minutes or so of holding which isn’t bad.
I’m looking at this Transom and I’m thinking that I may need to make something for the stern to fill that Gap in on the bottom of it.
I had this huge gap on the bottom of the Transom. What I did was to fashion a little flat filler piece from wood that I had from a previous kit.
Filler Plank for Bulwark
I made a mistake on the original Plank so I had to make this Plank to fill it in.
I used my Plank Bending Jig to bend it. I let it sit all night to make sure it takes the bend. It came out pretty nicely.
I traced it out by sticking this Scotch Tape across the Gap and using a marker pen. Then stuck it on the Plank as a Template.
Plank Bending Jig
I made a simple Jig put of some Pins. I suppose one of these days I’ll actually got to the trouble of making a Plank Bending Jig tool.
Bulwark Top Part
This is the part where I messed up. I should have come up higher on my initial Plank. Short of redoing the entire thing, I’m going to make a filler Plank for this gap.
This is one thing that I love about this hobby. Because when you run into situations, you have to do what the Marine Corp doctrine dictates… I.A.O. Improvise Adapt & Overcome
Anyway, while driving to my doctor’s office, I thought of a way to make a template for making the filler Plank. I’m going to use a big piece of clear Scotch Tape and trace the gap onto it. Then, I’m going to bend the Plank around a Jig that I made and once these wood takes the bend, I’ll simply last the tape on to the wood and trace around it and sand it down to fit.
Mind you… This is all experimental. I’m in the process of repairing this Gap by making this shape of internal Plank.
Bulwark
I’m starting on the Bulwarks. The Bulwarks are the side of the ship that comes above the deck.
I kind of feel like I messed up in installing the first Plank so now I’m going to have to compensate for it with some corrections.
I first bent this first Plank in with soaked plank wood 1.5mm x 5mm.
Now I taped off the guides going along the Gunwale so that the glue doesn’t stick to the Bulwark because I’ll be removing these guides once the Bulwark are up.
So… I’m kind of dreading the next step actually. What happened was the I didn’t come up and over with the initial Plank on to the Forecastle Deck. Now I have to do a funky fix… Which really wouldn’t be visible anyway. It’s just I wish u would’ve gotten it right the first time. Oh well. Live and learn. It just seems a bit Amateurish.
But hey… I never claimed to be an expert anyway! 🤭🤣😲
Transom
I soaked the wood for the Transom and I used these Rubber bands in order to make it take the bend.
I’m not worried about the little gaps because they’ll need covered with a trim once I get the Bulwark up. Not sure what the name of it is though.
Spare Planks
I was just taking note of how many spare Planks this kit provided for.
So far, on the inside Hull Planks, I’m left with 9 extra Planks. These are the 1.5mm x 5mm x 55cm ones.
On the Deck Planks .6mm x 3mm x 40cm ones, I’m left with 5 spares. So plenty there.
Transom
Began working on the Transom. I think I may have miscalculated a bit… Anyway I’m gluing these blocks in so I have somewhere to put my Pins for Vising.

This is the ship I’m making…
